In partnership with I-Tel Group, Welcome Break embarked on a strategic plan to enhance their CSR efforts, focusing on two key areas:

 

Charitable Fundraising

Implemented a company-wide fundraising initiative that engaged both employees and customers to support local social care charities, facilitated by our connections and influence. This included the pivotal introduction of Welcome Break to Real Life Options, which set the stage for meaningful collaboration.

 

Social Care Work Placements

Developed a programme to offer work placements within I-Tel Group’s production team for individuals from social care backgrounds to create the employee engagement hampers. This initiative aimed to integrate these individuals smoothly into the workforce, providing them with valuable job experience, enhancing their employment prospects and personal growth.

The results

The collaboration coordinated by I-Tel Group between Welcome Break and Real Life Options, and now with MacIntyre, has yielded impressive outcomes:

 

Successfully raised over £5,000 for Real Life Options through various initiatives.

 

Effectively facilitated work experience placements for several individuals from social care backgrounds. This initiative provided valuable job skills and experience, enhancing participants’ employability and confidence.

 

These efforts have not only bolstered Welcome Break’s reputation as a socially responsible business but also strengthened community ties and made a lasting impact on local social care services.
